Tenders Are Invited for Rfp: Dam Safety Assessment, Pre-feasibility Study for Rehabilitation /retrofitting
The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Preparation Grant for the Caribbean Water Security and Sector Efficiency Multi-Phased Approach (MPA) Program and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include conducting a comprehensive dam safety assessment of JCD and all appurtenant structures (reservoir, saddle dam(s), spillway, water intake, outlet structures, gates, valves, monitoring equipment, access infrastructure, etc. It also includes developing rehabilitation and retrofitting options for the dam by identifying at least five (5) technically viable alternatives combining structural measures (dam heightening, spillway augmentation, outlet works upgrading, foundation treatment, instrumentation enhancement, watershed restoration, reservoir dredging, drawdown flushing, etc.) and non-structural measures (operational rule modifications, flood forecasting, emergency planning) for approximately 48 weeks which is expected to start in May 2026.
