Expression of Interest:The engagement of a national social safeguards consultant will assist the adb team leader and social safeguards officer to support to multiple urban development projects in vietnam, including in ha giang (tuyen quang province), vinh yen (phu tho province), hue city; and gia nghia (lam dong province) - secondary cities environment improvement project; and ha tinh (ha tinh province) priority infrastructure for climate change adaptation project and other projects as required. he/she will focus more on project processing, guide eas/ias to apply advanced actions during land acquisition implementation, and ensure the national social safeguards consultant, engaged separately to complete all requests from the adb project team.
The national social safeguards consultant should have strong experience in adb and other international financial institutions’ land acquisition and involuntary resettlement due diligence, and related social safeguards issues for urban infrastructure development projects, including roads, embankments, public parks, and water/drainage pipelines. based on detailed engineering design, detailed measurement surveys, other relevant project documents, and discussions with stakeholders the specialist will assist the project management units of the project ias to prepare and update: (i) the required social safeguards documents; (ii) the required monitoring reports complying with the adb safeguards policy statement (2009).
