Expression of Interest:Adb is assisting the government of tonga (the government) to implement the sustainable economic corridors and urban resilience enhancement (secure) project. the proposed project will build a bridge across the fangauta lagoon, develop urban water infrastructure, strengthen urban and water governance planning systems, and enhance government’s capacity in road network management, disaster preparedness, and relocation planning. the project outputs will result in the following outcome: resilience to current and future climate-related risks of urban systems, road connectivity, and communities in tongatapu increased. the project will be aligned with the following impact: promoting inclusive, sustainable development through resilient infrastructure, and balanced urban–rural growth.
The technical project manager shall assist the government and adb by providing project management, technical advice and support to the ia and ea, consultants and pmu staff for the project implementation. the technical project manager shall report to the chief executive officer (ceo) for infrastructure and project coordinator.
