Tender Are Invited For Consultancy for Capacity and Demand Study for Tourism Transportation
Saint Lucia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Unleashing
the Blue Economy of the Caribbean (UBEC) project and intends to apply part of the
proceeds to hire an Individual Consultant for a Capacity and Demand Study for Tourism
Transportation.
The consulting services (“the Services”) include, but are not limited to, reviewing and
analyzing secondary data from the Ministry of Tourism and other related agencies, as well
as updating current data on the number of operators within the sector. These operators
encompass ground taxi services, scuba diving, snorkeling, parasailing, kite surfing, water
taxis, jet skis, and sport fishing. Additionally, the consultant will use qualitative and
quantitative methods to identify and assess visitor preferences, either directly through
visitor surveys or indirectly via travel and trade sources, along with visitor motivations and
transportation choices. This will help to better understand visitor behavior related to
tourism transportation in Saint Lucia.
