Expression of interest for Information, Education and Communication (iec) and Productive Use of Electricity
the Services Provided for This Contract Are as Follows:
Date: September 2, 2025
1. The Government of the Republic of Guinea has obtained financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to cover part of the cost of the Project for Improving Access to Electricity in Guinea (PAAEG). The Borrower intends to use part of these funds to finance the contract for Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns and for the productive use of electricity.
2. The services provided under this contract are as follows:
a) Educating the population on the consumption/payment ratio for energy savings and even protecting living standards (economic power);
b) Encouraging the population to pay their electricity bills on time and regularly; c) Encourage the adoption of behaviors that promote the rational, responsible, and beneficial use of electrical energy in order to improve their living environment and better prevent the risks of accidents related to the use of electrical current;
d) Discuss the importance and benefits of electrical energy on the socioeconomic and cultural levels (drilling, powering health centers and schools, installing multifunctional platforms, etc.); and
e) Rational and economical use of electrical energy;
f) Dangers related to electrical current and the main causes;
g) Safety measures to be taken to avoid dangers related to electrical current.
