General Procurement Notice For: Kingston Waterfront Improvement Project - Sop 1
The Government of Jamaica has received financing in the amount of US$12.0 Million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kingston Waterfront Improvement Project , and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The Kingston Waterfront Improvement (KIWI) Project is designed as a Series of Projects (SOP) with the overarching development objective to improve the livability, economic inclusion, and the enabling environment for private sector participation in the sustainable development of Downtown Kingston. The project will include the following components:

Software Development – Property Operations /management and public facing engagement tool
Consulting Services – private-public redevelopment approaches
Consulting Services – Operations & Maintenance Sustainability Plan
Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016 Revised September 2023) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations.[1] After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.
Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, online, on the World Bank’s external website ,www.gojep.gov.jm and www.jsif.org, the Jamaica Observer and the Jamaica National Gleaner.
