Tender Are Invited For Design, Supply and Installation of Plant for Solar PV-BESS Mini-Grids and Water Infrastructure
Project: Bio-economy Empowerment in Suriname's Indigenous Communities through Access to
Water, Energy and Telecommunications (Bio-SWEET)
This Invitation for Bids is issued following the publication of the General Procurement Notice (GPN)
for this project, which was published on the Inter-American Development Bank’s website on 22 August
2025.
Suriname has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to partially finance
the cost of the Bio-economy Empowerment in Suriname's Indigenous Communities through Access to
Water, Energy and Telecommunications (Bio-SWEET), and intends to apply part of the proceeds to
payments under the Contract detailed in this Request for Bids. This contract will be co-financed by the
Low Carbon Energy Fund for People and Planet through non-reimbursable investment financing
agreement GRT/LE-21150-SU. The procurement process will be governed by the Alternative
Procurement Arrangements (APA) referred to in the Procurement Policies, if applicable.
