Tenders Are Invited for Darley Rd Eec Boiler and Chiller Replacement
Sealed bids for Darley Rd Early Education Center Boiler/Chiller Replacement Contract No. BSD270001-
CHILLERDRD, will be received by Brandywine School District, Facilities Office at 1000 Pennsylvania
Ave, Claymont, DE 19703 until 1:00 PM local time on September 24, 2026, at which time they will be
publicly opened and read aloud in the Facilities Office at 1000 Pennsylvania Avenue, Claymont, DE
19703. Bidder bears the risk of late delivery. Any bids received after the stated time will be returned unopened.
Project involves the Demolition and replacement of boiler, chiller, and cooling tower systems, and plumbing/HVAC/electrical work associated with these activities. New concrete boiler pads and structural reinforcement to the existing cooling tower dunnage.
A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on August 21, 2026, at the Darley Rd Early Education
Center at 500 Darley Road Claymont, DE 19703 at 10:00 AM for the purpose of establishing the listing
of subcontractors and to answer questions. Representatives of each party to any Joint Venture must attend this meeting. ATTENDANCE OF THIS MEETING IS A MANDATORY PREREQUISITE
FOR BIDDING ON THIS CONTRACT.
Sealed bids shall be addressed to Brandywine School District, Darley Rd EEC Boiler/Chiller Replacement, Attn John Read, Director of Facilities. The outer envelope should clearly indicate: Brandywine
School District CONTRACT NO. BSD270001-CHILLERDRD - SEALED BID - DO NOT OPEN."
Contract documents will be made available for printing on the day of the Pre-Bid Meeting, August 21,
2026. Bidders shall withhold any questions until the Pre-Bid meeting. Contract documents will be available at the office of RCI Printing & Graphics at 298 Churchmans Rd, New Castle, DE 19720 upon
receipt of $40.00 per set (Non-refundable). Checks are to be made payable to “RCI Printing and
Graphics”.
