General procurement notice : Uganda Rural Electricity Access Project Phase Ii
the Main Objective of the Project is to Increase Electricity Access for Households, Public Institutions, and Micro, Small, and Medium-scale Enterprises Through a Combination of Main Grid and Mini Grid Solutions.
The Republic of Uganda has received financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB)
and the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) towards the cost of implementation of the Uganda
Rural Electricity Access Project Phase II (UREAP II).
2. The main objective of the Project is to increase electricity access for households, public
institutions, and micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises through a combination of main
grid and mini grid solutions.
3. The Project includes the following components:
(a) Component 1: Main grid expansions, solar PV mini grid development, and
installation of mast-mile connections.
(b) Component 2: Project Administration and Management.
(c) Component 3: Institutional support and capacity building.
(d) Component 4: Implementation of the environmental and social management plan,
and resettlement action plan
